Journey Press titles are now ALL available through Apple Books!

Well, it was inevitable. For years, our electronic books have been available on Bookshop.org, Barnes and Noble, through Kobo, and even on that abomination that bears the namesake of a certain South American river. Yet the one place you couldn’t find Journey Press titles was Apple Books.

That changed today. All Journey Press titles can now be gotten from the house that the Steves built.

Why did it take so long?

This sort of ties in with the whole “Path to Publishing” series. It takes a while to learn all the ins and outs of distribution. When one signs up with Ingram, they take care of populating your books to other platforms. Every book submitted to Ingram automagically ends up on Kobo and Barnes & Noble (and probably other places we don’t know about). We’d always just kind of assumed Apple Books was one of them.

It is not.

What happened is we got enough folks asking us, “Why aren’t your books on Apple Books?” We looked and, lo and behold, there we weren’t.

Now setting up an account on Apple Books is not intuitive. It’s a bit clunky, and you end up with lots issues along the way, both in account creation and in book formatting. But once it’s done, setting up new titles is quite simple.

And there really was no reason not to do it. Lots of folks are in the Apple ecosystem (we’re not, but we remember the Apple 2, the IPod, and the myriad of other Apple products.)

So here we are, with all of our books with links to buy on Apple Books. If you want to get your books on Apple Books, we found this blog post helpful.

Good luck, and happy reading!
