You asked for it, so now you’ve got it! Journey Press now has a Discord server where fans, authors, and Journey Press staff can mingle. It’s been a long time coming. Why did we do it? Well, it’s no secret that a publishing house needs some kind of internet presence these days. But social media…
I Want the Stars (finally) has an audio book version!
Since we opened up shop in 2019, we have always had twin goals: not only did we want to make the best books for folks to read, but we wanted to make sure folks could get their hands on these books. We didn’t want to just dump them on the Evil A and hope people…
When we started Journey Press back in August 2019, we had one overriding goal: to publish excellent speculative fiction about and by women and queer people—and get them into your hands! To that end, over the past five years, we’ve built a distribution network to make sure you can get our books in as many…
It’s taken a lifetime, or at least feels like it, but August marks the book birthday for Hyvilma, the third book in The Kitra Saga. This exciting new chapter in Gideon Marcus’ YA space adventure series is the closest the books have gotten to “space opera”, with pirate ships, rebel Imperial Navy vessels, plenty of…
Amazing Stories, started in 1926, is the oldest science fiction publication in existence. So you can bet we were honored when they asked if they could interview two of our authors. You may know that Gideon Marcus and Janice L. Newman, when they aren’t writing novels, maintain the Hugo nominated Galactic Journey — a time…
Our newest author, the super-feminist, Nazi-punching journalist, Managing Editor-emeritus of Snopes.com, is about to blow the truth wide open...with magic!

There’s such a diversity of tone among the works in this anthology that I can make no sweeping recommendations as to who might enjoy this work, but I believe anyone who enjoys science fiction will find something to enjoy in Rediscovery: SF by Women.
Let's kick off Pride Month with a review of Kitra by Hugo Award Finalist Gideon Marcus! Featuring a young, bisexual woman of color, Kitra is a fantastic June reading choice -- and Parallel Worlds Magazine is here to tell you all about what makes it so wonderful.
James Davis Nicoll curated a wonderful list of older SF collections to Tor.com - and chose to cap it off with Rediscovery! What, exactly, does “Returnable” mean? And do you want the “Deliver” or “Destroy” option? When will the returns show up in your numbers? Will you be on the hook for them?
Kitra has found itself in some incredible company in Robin Rose Graves' booktube review! There's no greater honor than being featured alongside Ursula K. LeGuin.
